Halcyon Farm B and B is 5 miles south of Amsterdam exit 27 off I-90 , in historic Mill Point along the Schoharie river. The 7,000 sq foot Federal brick home, once a tavern, was built from 1790 to 1819 and sits between 300 acres of hay fields and woods and the high Blue Bank cliff. The steep stagecoach trail which skirts this cliff survives to this day and is accessible for hiking. Five spacious guest bedrooms have private bathrooms, gas fireplaces, high ceilings, air conditioning and cotton linens. The guest living room and adjoining library have a baby grand piano and a selection of books and boardgames. The new Private Guest Entrance and Gathering Room for small functions have been completed. All rooms and guest areas are equipped with wireless internet and flatscreen wall-mounted TVs with DVDs.
